Description :

Ingredients:
Raw peanuts – 200g
Gram flour / Besan / Kadalapodi – 6 tbsp
Rice flour – 3 tbsp
Red chilly powder – 1 tbsp
Fennel seeds – 1½ tsp
Asafoetida / Hing – 1 tsp
Garlic – 4 big cloves (Crushed)
Cumin seeds – ¼ tsp
Curry leaves
Dry red chilly (Optional)
Salt
Oil

Steps:
Crush fennel seeds, garlic and curry leaves.

Mix peanuts with gram flour, rice flour, red chilly powder, crushed fennel seeds, asafoetida, cumin seeds, crushed garlic, curry leaves and salt.
Sprinkle some water and mix well so that the peanuts get a nice coating.

Heat oil in a heavy-bottomed pan.
Drop the peanuts one by one into hot oil and deep fry on medium flame till golden.
Remove and drain on a kitchen towel.
Repeat for the rest of the peanuts.
Fry some dry red chilly and curry leaves and add it to the masala peanuts.
Let it cool down completely. It might be chewy when hot but gets crispy on cooling.
Serve with tea or coffee.
