മുളക് വട | How To Make Mulak Vada

Description :

മലയാളികൾ നാടൻ ചായക്കടകളിൽ നിന്ന് മാത്രം രുചി അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടുള്ള മുളക് വട
Ingredients:
Besan / Chickpea flour / Gram flour – 1 cup
Maida / All purpose flour – ¼ cup
Baking soda – ¼ tsp
Onion – 1 big (Finely chopped)
Curry leaves
Ginger – 1 big piece (Finely chopped)
Green chilly – 4 or 5 (Finely chopped)
Dry red chilly – 3 (Deseeded)
Salt
Oil

Steps:
Mix besan, maida, baking soda and salt in a bowl.
Add ginger, green chillies, curry leaves, onion and dry red chilly. Mix well.
Add water in batches and make it a batter.
It should not be watery nor very tight.
Cover and let it rest for 5 hours.

Heat oil in a pan.
Wet your palm. Take a small portion of the batter and place it in your palm and shape it to a circle.
Make a hole in the centre with the index finger.
Slide it into the oil and fry both the sides on medium flame, till it turns golden.
Remove and enjoy the mulaku vada.
