പഴം കൊണ്ട് ഇതാ അടിപൊളി ഇടിയപ്പം|| Banana Idiyappam
Description :
Ingredients: (Makes 16)
Ripe plantain / Ethapazham – 2 big (Steamed and peeled)
Wheat flour – 6 tbsp
Sugar – 3 tbsp (Optional)
Cardamom – Seeds of 6 big (Crushed)
Salt – 2 pinches
Oil / Ghee
Grated coconut
Steps:
Add the steamed and peeled banana in the mixie and grind to a smooth paste without adding water.
Add wheat flour, crushed sugar and cardamom and salt.
Mix well. Add oil/ghee and make a smooth dough.
Load the dough to the idiyappam press. Grease the idli plates with some oil.
Press it on to the idli plates in circular motion.
Top it with a mix of grated coconut, sugar and cardamom powder.
Fill less than one-fourth portion of the steamer with water.
Transfer the idli plates to steamer and steam covered for 7 minutes.
Switch off the flame and remove the idiyappam.
Enjoy the banana idiyappam.
