ഉള്ളി ചമ്മന്തി (onion chammanthi)/English translation (in description box)

Description :

Ingredients :
Onion – 1 big (finely chopped)
Curry leaves
Chana dal – 1 tbsp
Tamarind juice – 1 tbsp
Kashmiri whole red chilly – 10-12
Oil
Salt

Steps:
Heat oil in a pan.
Add chana dal and roast well.
Remove and set aside.
Add Kashmiri whole chilly and roast well.
Remove and set aside.
Add onion and curry leaves.
When onion starts to turn golden, add chana dal and Kashmiri red chilly.
Switch off.
Grind this along with the tamarind juice and salt.
Sprinkle water, if needed.
Enjoy with kanji, idli or dosa.
