Hi friends, today let’s see how to make a delicious and easy chocolate cake which can be served for parties or birthdays..

We do not need egg, oil or flour to make this cake.

This cake has a very simple recipe..

First, crush 18 Oreo biscuits in a mixer grinder..

Make sure to not grind it for too long, else the cream in the biscuit might make the mixture too moist/wet..

Transfer the powdered biscuits into a sieve and add 1 ¼ tsp of baking powder to it.

Next, mix the powdered biscuits and baking powder well and sieve it into another mixing bowl.

To this mixture of powdered oreos and baking powder ad ¾ cup of milk and mix well.

You can add more or less milk depending on the thickness of the batter.

You will need only ¾ cup of milk for 18 Oreo biscuits

If you accidentally end up adding too much milk, you can powder another 3 to 4 Oreo biscuits and add to the batter.

Once the battery is ready, you can bake it in either an oven or in a vessel like shown in the video on the stove..

Since the quantity of the batter is very less, make sure to use a small cake tin or vessel to bake the cake

If you put very less batter in a very large tin, the cake will not have the desired height and will become too thin

Grease the vessel of the cake tin using some oil and line the bottom with butter paper..

If you do not have butter paper, you can grease the tin with oil and dust it with some plain flour and tap off the excess..

Once the cake tin is prepared, transfer the batter into the tin and place it on a hot dosa pan with the lid closed..

Do not place the cake directly on the flame..

After about 40 to 45 minutes on a medium low flame, your cake will be completely cooked..

You can prick the centre of the cake with a toothpick to check if it’s cooked through.. if the cake is cooked through, the toothpick will come out clean

Once the cake cools down completely, you can take it out from the pan/tin

Next, let’s make chocolate ganache to pour on top of the cake..

To prepare the chocolate ganache, in a saucepan, mix in half a cup of cocoa powder and half a cup of sugar with 1 ¼ cup of milk and a tablespoon of corn flour..

Once the ingredients are mixed, place it on a low flame and keep stirring it continuously until it thickens..

Once it starts to thicken, add 1 ½ tablespoon of salted or unsalted butter to it, mix well and turn off the flame..

Make sure to not make it too thick..

If in case it turns too thick, you can add a little room temperature milk to it and loosen the consistency..

Once the chocolate ganache and the cake cool down, we can start to garnish the cake..

For that I am cutting off the top of the cake to level it.. this step is completely optional…

I have also blended the chocolate ganache in the mixer grinder to get a really smooth and glossy consistency..

You can either pour the chocolate ganache on top of the cake or you can apply the ganache all over the cake using a spatula or spoon..

I am going to place my cake on a wire rack and I am going to pour the chocolate ganache on top of it to get a clean finish..

I am going to decorate the cake using some shaved/ grated chocolate .. you can do it as per your liking..

After garnishing it with chocolate, refrigerate the cake for 30 minutes so that it sets well..

Once the cake comes out of the refrigerator, it is ready to be cut and served..
