  • It is nice without the flavors added also if you sweeten with brown sugar or maple syrup.

  • Aunt thank you for sharing all your recipes. I don't remember in which video you said that in order to speed the process of sabudhana we have to out it in hot water and it will be ready in 4 hours. Is this correct? Thanks again.

  • For those with allergies to milk (or who cannot get milk without growth hormones, steroids or antibiotics), coconut milk can be substituted. (I also substitute the sugar with Xylitol for low-glycemic option.) With the coconut milk I also add some tapioca starch and cornstarch (for thickening).

  • Looks delicious. I'm eager to try this recipe out. I will let you know how it goes. I live in the U.S. and doubt if my local grocery store will have the large tapioca but I will find it. Thank you for the video and recipe. I'm subscribing and look forward to seeing more. I'm very interested in Indian cuisine.

  • @chattingwithu Its about 3 months since you asked so I guess you might just have figured out what to do with your starch, but if not, let me tell you that Creme Anglais or Creme Patissiere which is used to fill gooey pastires is made with that. What you need to do is to soak 1.5 tbsp of starch in 2 tbsp of cold milk and bring to boil 1 cup of milk, add this cold soaked starch to it under stirring with a whisk. You must add sugar, salt and vanilla to taste and voila you have a delicious dessert.
