4 potatoes medium size, boiled peeled and cut into 1/3″ cubes that will make about 3 cups of cubed potatoes
2 tablespoon oil
1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds (rai)
2 whole dried red chilies
1/4 teaspoon turmeric (haldi)
8-10 curry leaves
1 teaspoon salt adjust to taste
Gravy
3 whole dried red chilies
1/4 cup grated coconut
Approx. 2 tablespoons tamarind pulp(imli)
1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds (rai)
1 teaspoon coriander (dhania)

  • hmm, I bet if that was pureed (maybe after taking out the additional chilies) it would make a very elegant and creamy soup for a party. Maybe adding chili oil on top. Thanks for the recipe!
