Learn how to make Pineapple Sandesh (Bengali sweet paneer dessert) Easy to make recipe
Ingredients:
4 cup whole milk
3 Tbsp lemon juice
3 Tbsp fine sugar
1/4 tsp cardamom
6 slice pineapple (canned)
2 Tbsp sliced pistachios (for garnishing)
Instructions:
Paneer Making:
Boil milk in a heavy-bottomed pan over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
Gradually add lemon juice as the milk boils, stirring gently until the curd separates from the whey. Turn off the heat.
Drain the whey using a strainer lined with cheesecloth or muslin cloth.
Wrap the curds in muslin cloth, rinse under cold water, and squeeze well.
Sandesh Making:
Once drained, knead the paneer on a clean surface until it forms a smooth soft dough.
Add sugar and cardamom powder to the paneer, knead again until sugar is mixed well to form Sandesh.
Spread pineapple slices on a dry surface, pat dry with muslin cloth or paper towel.
Evenly spread Sandesh over pineapple slices and garnish with sliced pistachios.
Refrigerate Sandesh for about 1 hour before serving for the best taste and to help set over pineapple.
Notes:
After kneading sugar with paneer, it becomes Sandesh. This basic Sandesh recipe can be used for many variations.
