• 1 cup whole wheat flour, chapatti atta
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• Approx. 1/2 cup water
For Filling
• 2 cups of grated mix cheese, I am using mix cheese, Cheddar, Colby and Monterey Jack
• 1/4 cup finely chopped jalapeno, adjust to your taste

  • Just made these, didn't have any jalapeño so used cayenne. Tastiest roti I've made so far, even got them to puff up which doesn't always happen.

  • A great idea to adapt US ingredients to an age-old Indian recipe… that's what practical home cooking is about! Aunty Manjula is so skilled she can cook the paratha while rolling another one, and discussing what's going on at the same time. Some of us are not as practiced and our parathas / chapatis come out all misshapen.
