Besan barfi is sweet as candy with a fudge-like consistency. It is made with combination of roasted besan, butter, and sugar.

Ingredients
1 cup besan, gram flour
2 tablespoons sooji, semolina
1/4 cup coarsely ground almond powder
6 tablespoons melted unsalted butter or ghee
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
8 green cardamoms– shelled and seeds crushed
Approx. 1 tablespoon pistachios crushed for garnishing

  • just made it, but I wasn't successful . I left it for a second to spoon out the remaining cardomon from the pan and it became as hard as a rock! the consistency is too hard. I will try again, and keep following you! Thank you
    just read the comments, maybe I boiled the syrup too much? dont have a thermometer
