VENDHAYA RASAM:
Ingredients:
fenugreek shrouts – ½ cup
peeled garlic – 6
Onion diced – 1
red chillies – 2
pepper, cumin powder – ½ tsp
tomato – 1 ½ tsp
salt – to taste
thin tamarind extract – ¼ cup
grated jaggery – little
curry leaves – 1 spring
mustard seeds – ¼ tsp
asafoetida powder – 2 pinch
Method:
1.Take sprouts, garlic, tomato, oion, 2 red chillies broken in a small pressure pan.
2. Cook for 1 whistle.
3. Add tamarind extact, salt, jaggery, pepper cumin powder and boil for few minutes.
4. Heat little oil, add mustard to crackle, mix asafoetide powder, curry leaves and pour over rasam.
5. Healthy probiotic rasam. This can be served with cooked rice.
