Vadai Curry
INGREDIENTS
Deep fried Masala Vadai (Small Sized)
For Gravy:
Sliced Onions – 250 Gms
Peeled Garlic – 12 Flakes
Tomato Puree (Tetra Pack) – 1/2 Cup
Salt
Sugar
Turmeric Powder
Grind Together:
Onion (Chopped) – 1
Ginger – 1 inch piece
Garlic – 4 Flakes
Red Chillies – 5
Green Chillies – 4
Aniseeds – 1/2 Tsp
Cinnamon – 1 inch piece
Cardamom – 3
Cloves – 3
Chutney Dhal – 1 Tblsp
Dhania (Coriander) – 2 Tsp
Cumin Seeds (Jeera) – 1/2 Tsp
METHOD
1. Heat oil in a deep pan and saute garlic, onions until golden.
2. Add ground paste and fry until oil separates.
3. Mix tomato puree, 3 cups of water, salt, sugar, turmeric powder.
4. Boil for few minutes. Add fried vadai and remove from the stove.
5. Serve with dosai, idli or appam.
