Seedai – Savoury (Karam Seedai/Uppu Seedai)
INGREDIENTS
Processed Wet Rice Flour (Washed, dried under shade and milled) – 1 Cup
Whipped Sour Curds – 1 Cup
Salt – As Required
Red Chilli Powder – 1/2 Tsp
Sesame Seeds – 1 Tsps
Oil – For Deep Frying

METHOD
1. Whip curds with salt and chilli powder.
2. Heat it in a heavy kadai.
3. When it bubbles up, add flour as a heap in the centre. Mix well and switch off the stove.
4. Add sesame seeds, knead, prepare small balls, flatten lightly and keep it on a polythene sheet or banana leaf.
5. Deep fry in hot oil until golden keeping the flame in medium low. (Approximately for 6 to 7 minutes). Allow to cool to room temperature, keep it in air-tight bottle.
