Tandoori Roti
INGREDIENTS
Whole Wheat Flour – 1 Cup
Tepid Milk – 1/2 Cup
Dry Yeast – 1/2 Tsp
Salt – 1/2 Tsp
Sugar – 1/2 Tsp
Baking Powder – A Pinch
Cooking Soda – A Pinch
METHOD
1. Sift flour with soda, Baking Powder and salt.
2. Activate yeast in tepid milk to which little sugar is added.
3. Keep aside for 10 minutes.
4. Add it to sifted flour and knead to chappathi dough consistency.
5. Allow to raise for 3 to 4 hours in a closed vessel.
6. Roll out like a thick chappathi. Sprinkle water on top and stick it to hot aluminium pan.
7. Close with lid and keep in medium flame.
8. Turn the pan to direct flame when it raises.
9. Loosen with a spatula and take out.
10. Serve hot with subji.
