Colocasia Fry (Seppankilangu Porial)
INGREDIENTS
Colocasia – 1/2 Kg
Thick Tamarind Extract – 11/2 Tblsp
Finely Cut Onions – 1/2 cup
Sambhar Powder – 11/2 Tsp
Salt – To Taste
Little Jaggery – Optional
Oil – For deep frying
Mustard Seeds,
Black Gram Dhal,
Broken Red Chillies – Few
Curry Leaves – Few
METHOD
1. Cook Colocasia with skin for 1 or 2 whistles in tamarind water to which salt is added.
2. Remove skin and slice it.
3. Deep fry in hot oil (till light brown).
4. Heat oil, add tampering ingredients and fry onions until golden.
5. Add Tamarind extract, Sambhar powder, salt and jaggery.
6. Cook for a minute, add colocasia and stir gently until cooked.

did u pressure cook or steam the taro root madam?
Make it simple. Tamarind is a tamasic ingredient. Do not eat too much of tamarind.
Mam u Din say wether it's raw colacassia or boiled one.. But u termed tat the vegetable should be firm!! I don understand mam!
