Sago Murukku with Green Chillies
INGREDIENTS
Sago – 1/4 Cup
Processed Rice Flour – 1 1/2 Cups
Salt – To Taste
Sour Curds – 1/4 Cup
Mustard Seeds – 1/4 Tsp
Green Chilli Paste – 1 Tsp
Asafoetida Powder – 2 Pinches
Lemon Juice – 1 Tsp
Oil – For Deep Frying

METHOD
1. Wash and soak sago in sour thick curds over night.
2. Grind to Paste.
3. Mix rice flour, salt, chilli paste together.
4. Heat little oil, add mustard seeds, allow to splutter. Pour over rice flour. Mix well with finger tips.
5. Add ground paste of sago, lemon juice and if necessary little more water to form a thick dough.
6. Fill in greased murukku press with three hole disc in it.
7. Prepare large murukkus by directly squeezing in hot oil. Deep fry until crisp.
