INGREDIENTS
Semolina/Rawa – 1 Cup (Heaped)
Sugar – 1 ¼ Cups
Water – 2 ½ Cups
Kesar Colour – 2 Pinches
Cardamom Powder – ¼ Tsp
Ghee – 2 ½ Tblsp
Fried Cashewnuts & Kismis – According To Taste
METHOD
1. Heat little Ghee in kadai and roast rawa until it leaves out good aroma (on reduced flame).
2. Heat water separately in a vessal.
3. Pour it on top of roasted rawa, along with colour and cool until moisture is absorbed.
4. Add sugar and stir constantly until thick mass is obtained.
5. When it starts sticking to bottom add ghee. If it is non-stick pan add ghee when moisture is absorbed completely.
6. Cook until kesar gets a shine, add cardamom powder, half of the fried cashewnuts, raisins to that.
7. Mix well and pour on greased tray. Decorate with rest of the cashewnuts and raisins.
8. Slice into squares after few minutes.
