Paruppu Usili (Cluster Beans – Dry Curry)
Cluster Beans (Finely Cut) – 200 Gms
Oil – 1 Tblsp
Mustard Seeds – 1/4 Tsp
Curry Leaves – 1 Spring
Grind Together:
Thuar Dhal – 1/4 Cup
(Soaked for 1/2 an hour)
Red Chillies – 6
Cumin Seeds – 1/2 Tsp
Grated Fresh Coconut – 1 1/2 Tblsp
Salt – To Taste
METHOD
1. Heat oil in a kadai, add seasonings and then cut cluster beans.
2. Saute for a minute. Sprinkle water, cook with a lid on, in reduced flame for few minutes.
3. Open the lid, allow the water to evaporate, place the ground paste on top and spread.
4. Close with lid and cook for few minutes. Stir gently and fry well for few minutes. Serve with rice.
