NACHUKOTTAI KEERAI KULAMBU
Ingredients
Keerai – 15 leaves
Cooked thuar dhal – ½ cup
Small onions peeled – 8
Garlic peeled – 5
Tomato – 2
Salt – to taste
Oil – 2 tsp
Mustard seeds – ½ tsp
Black gram dhal – ½ tsp
Cumin seeds – ½ tsp
Asafoetida powder – ¼ tsp
Roast & pound together:
Red chillies – 5
Coriander seeds – 1 tbl spn
Fenugreek seeds – 1/ 4 tsp
Powder it and pound again with garlic, small onions & tomatoes.

Method:
Pressure cook thuar dhal with ½ tsp fenugreek, turmeric powder using enough water for 5 whistles.
Remove centre stem from keerai and chop.
Heat oil, fry small onions and then keerai
Meanwhile pound garlic, 2 or 3 small onions, tomato along with sambhar powder.
Add to fries keerai, saute for few min.
Add cooked dhal, salt and boil for another few min.
Heat oil and seasonings allow to fry and pour over kulambu. Serve with rice/chapati.
