Mushroom Manchurian
INGREDIENTS
Button Mushrooms – 1 Packet
Corn Flour – 11/2 Tblsps
Maida/Refined Flour – 11/2 Tblsps
Salt – To Taste
Baking Powder – 2 Pinches
Oil – For Frying

For Manchurian Gravy:
Garlic – 3 Flakes
Ginger – 1/2 inch piece
Green Chilli – 1
Finely Cut Onions – 1 Cup
Ajinomoto – 2 pinches
Red Chilli Paste – 1/2 Tsp
Light Soya Sauce – 2 Tsps
Tomato Sauce – 2 Tblsps
White Pepper Powder – 1/2 Tsp
Sugar – 1/2 Tsp
Corn Flour – 1 Tblsps
Water – 1 1/2 Cups

METHOD
1. Wash and Rinse Mushrooms in water, kept in large bowl, to which little lemon juice is added.
2. Mix together Maida, Corn Flour, Salt and baking powder.
3. Sprinkle on top of Mushrooms liberally and deep fry in hot oil.
4. Cut Garlic and Chilli finely, grate Ginger and saute it in little oil.
5. Add Onions, Sugar and stir fry.
6. Sprinkle Ajinomoto and saute for 1 or 2 minutes. Add Red Chilli Paste and White Pepper Powder.
7. Mix both the sauces together in the measured water, cornflour and salt.
8. Pour it on top of fried onions and stir until thick consistency.
9. Add fried mushrooms, toss and serve immediately.
