Kambu Elaneer Idli / Breakfast Idli
INGREDIENTS
Pearl Millet – 1 Cup
Dehusked Black Gram/Urad – 1/2 Cup
Salt – 3/4 Tsp
Tender Coconut Water
METHOD
1. Soak dhal in water for 30 mins.
2. Strain the water, grind to frothy paste using 1 1/2 cups of tender coconut water.
3. Wash kambu and grind immediately without soaking with enough tender coconut water to a coarse paste. Add salt.
4. Mix both together and ferment until next day morning.
5. Steam cook for 10 minutes.
*Suitable for anaemia as it is rich in Iron.
