Bread Dal Sandwich
INGREDIENTS
Oats & Ragi Bread – Few Slices
Mint Chutney – As required to apply
Grind Together:
Soaked Green Gram Dhal – 1/2 Cup
Soaked Rice – 1 Tblsp
Salt – 1/4 Tsp
Oil – For Tasting
Oats – To Sprinkle
For Mint Chutney:
Grind Together:
Mint Leaves – 1/2 Bunch
Coriander Leaves – 1/2 Bunch
Green Chilli – 1
Raw Mango – 1/4 a piece
Salt – To Taste
Roasted Gram Dhal (Chutney Dhal) – 1 Tblsp
Cumin Seeds – 1/2 Tsp
Peeled Small Onions – 3
METHOD
1. Soak Dhal and Rice together for 1 hour.
2. Grind to thick, coarse paste along with salt.
3. Grind mint chutney ingredients togther to thick consistency.
4. Apply a layer of chutney on one side of bread slice.
5. Smear a layer of dhal paste.
6. Place on a hot flat fry pan and toast with little oil on both sides.
7. Serve with tomato ketchup.
