Bhatura – Chola Puri
INGREDIENTS
Maida – 1 1/2 Cups
Fresh Bread – 4 Slices
Sour, Thick Curd – 1/4 Cup
Baking Powder – 1/4 Tsp
Salt – 3/4 Tsp
Oil – Enough to Deep Fry

METHOD
1. Sift Maida with salt and baking powder.
2. Remove brown crust from bread slices.
3. Dip in water. Squeeze out immediately. Mash it well.
4. Add sour curds, sifted flour, knead to a stiff dough.
5. If necessary sprinkle little water.
6. Close and keep for 1 hour.
7. Prepare balls, flatten, roll out to bigger than puri size.
8. Deep fry in very hot oil until it turns golden on both sides.
9. Serve hot with Chole (Channa Masala).

  • Please post something relevant to us. Like healthy traditional foods of Tamil Nadu. For North Indian dishes, we need not look at your recipes. there are actual north Indians who post better recipes without using totally unhealthy options like white bread and maida
