Varutharacha sambar Recipe/Onam sadhya special

INGREDIENTS
Dal – ¼ cup
Vegetables:
Ladies finger – 4 to 6
Drum stick – 5 to 6 small pieces
Chena(yam) – 1 small piece
Pumpkin – 1 small piece
Carrot – 1 small
Tomato – 1 medium sized
Shallots (small onion) – 3 to 4
Coriander powder – 1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder – ¼ teaspoon
Salt
water
For Dry roast:
Grated coconut – Approx.2 to 3 tablespoon
Coriander(whole) – 1 table spoon
Red chilli(whole) – As per your taste(Here I took 4 to 6 Kashmiri chilli)
Shallots(small onion) – 3 or 4
Curry leaves
Fenugreek(uluva) – 1 or 2 pinch
Asafoetida(kayam)
The quantities of Chilli and Asafoetida you choose according to your taste and convenience.
