In this video we will see how to make paruppu urundai kuzhambu at home in an easy method. This is a great combination for rice and can also be served as an excellent side dish for idli / dosa. Paruppu / Dal is a great source of protein for vegetarians. The paruppu urundai can be fried or steamed, you can also add it directly to the recipe. I like my paruppu urundais a little soft so in this recipe I am going to steam them but this step can absolutely be modified to your taste preference. You can add some urundai mixture at the end of the recipe and this will thicken up the curry. IF at the end of the recipe you notice some sourness balance the taste by adding a small bit of jaggery. This is true for many curries, adding small bit of sweetness will balance and bring wholesome taste to the recipe.
