फोडणीचे वरण बनवण्यासाठी लागणारे साहित्य
• १ मोठा चमचा तेल
• १/२ चमचा मोहरी
• १/२ चमचा जिरं
• चिमूटभर हिंग
• कढीपत्ता
• १ बारीक चिरलेला टोमॅटो
• २ हिरव्या मिरच्यांचे तुकडे
• १ चमचा लसणीची पेस्ट
• १ मोठा चमचा खोवलेलं ओलं खोबरं
• १/२ चमचा धनेपूड
• १/४ चमचा लाल तिखट
• १/४ चमचा हळद
• चवीनुसार (गूळ ऐच्छिक)

Fodniche varan is an easy and healthy recipe. In any of the seasons be it summer or winter or rainy, fondiche varan, bhaat and ghee is just fantastic menu. This is a very easy and simple recipe. We already have seen different dal, aamti and varan recipes. This is yet another simple and delicious addition to the list. I will give lot many tips and tricks to make homogenous and yummy varan. You can try this recipe at home and drop a comment for me. Do not forget to like, share and subscribe.

Ingredients:
• 1 tbsp Oil
• 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
• 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
• A pinch of Hing
• Curry leaves
• 1 finely chopped Tomato
• 2 chopped Green chilies
• 1 tsp garlic paste
• 1 tbsp grated fresh Coconut
• 1/2 tsp Coriander powder
• 1/4 tsp Red chili powder
• 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
• Gudh to taste (Optional)
• 1/2 cup +1 tbsp Tur dal
• Water
• Salt to taste
• Finely chopped Coriander leaves

Method:
• Heat up oil in a cooker and add mustard seeds.
• When mustard seeds pop up add cumin seeds, hing, curry leaves, tomato, green chilies and
fry until tomato turns soft.
• Add garlic paste and fry for about a minute.
• Add fresh coconut and fry well.
• You can use grated dry coconut in place of fresh coconut.
• Add coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, gudh and mix well.
• Adding gudh is optional. You can skip it if you don’t want.
• Wash turdal really good 3-4 times and soak it in enough water for about 30 minutes.
• You can skip soaking dal if you don’t want.
• Drain all the water from soaked tur dal and add it into the cooker.
• Mix well and add water, salt and mix well.
• Close the lid and steam on medium heat for about 15-20 minutes. Make sure there is no
whistle.
• Open the lid and beat the dal well.
• Add water to adjust the consistency and bring it to boil.
• Add coriander leaves and fodniche varan is all ready.
