Let’s see how to make Uttar Pradesh Pradesh special lapsi recipe today. This is a very healthy and tasty recipe. Marathi lapsi recipe is different from this one. We use daliya or broken wheat to make lapsi but in UP they use wheat flour. It is closer to kada prasad that is serve in Gurudwara. This is a traditional recipe that is regular made in many households. Another interesting thing is this recipe doesn’t need lot many ingredients. You can easily make it from very few ingredients those are readily available in your pantry. It looks nice and tempting and tastes just awesome. Ingredients:
• 1/2 cup Wheat flour
• 1/2 cup Water
• 1/2 cup Gudh / Jaggery
• 1 cup Water
• Cardamom powder
• A pinch of Nutmeg powder
Method:
• Heat up a pan on medium heat and add wheat flour.
• Roast wheat flour really good until it changes the color and releases nice aroma.
• Make sure you stir it continuously while roasting.
• Avoid use of ghee or oil while roasting.
• In another pan heat up water and add gudh.
• Mix well and cook until gudh melts.
• When gudh melts, turn off the gas.
• When the wheat flour cools down, add a little water at a time and mix well. No lumps of wheat
flour should be formed.
• Strain the gudh mixture into wheat flour mixture and mix well. Make sure there are no lumps
formed.
• Mix well and cook the mixture for just about 5-7 minutes stirring continuously.
• Add cardamom powder and nutmeg powder and mix well. Lapsi is ready.
• Serve hot with a lot of ghee.
