With Holi round the corner, thandai recipe is a must. Today we are making thandai masala too along with thandai. This masala gives awesome taste to thandai. You can have thandai hot or mix this masala in chilled milk and enjoy. You can store this masala for about 2-3 months. This is healthy and tasty recipe and easy to make too. You can try this recipe at home and drop a comment for me. Do not forget to like, share and subscribe.
Ingredients:
• 1 liter full cream Milk
• 2 tsp Almonds
• 2 tsp Cashew nuts
• 2 tsp Melon seeds / Magaj seeds
• 1 tsp Fennel seeds
• 7~8 Black pepper corns
• Cardamom
• Few Saffron strands
• 1 tsp Gulkand
• 2 tsp Sugar
Method:
• For making thandai masala take almonds, cashew nuts, melon seeds, fennel seeds, black
peppercorns, cardamom in a blender jar and blend it into powder.
• You also can soak almonds, cashew nuts, peel the almonds and blend them.
• Do not blend continuously but pulse it to blend into powder.
• Strain the masala through a sieve and thandai masala is ready.
• You can add dry rose petals in the masala while blending.
• Heat up milk in a pan.
• When the milk is hot enough mix few saffron strands into it.
• Add gulkand and mix well. We are adding gulkand in place of dry rose petals.
• Add sugar and mix well.
• Simmer everything well together for about 2 minutes.
• Add 2-3 tsp thandai masala and simmer for another 2- 3 minutes.
• Turn off the gas and let it cool down completely.
• Serve the thandai and garnish with few almond and pistachios slices.
• You can mix the thandai masala in chilled milk and serve.
• You can store the masala in air tight container for about 2-3 months.
