Sangam vada is a very popular Solapur special recipe. Mirachi and sangam vada these two are very popular recipes in Solapur. This vada tastes just awesome and the speciality of this vada is in the style of serving. It turns out nice, crispy and just yumm. We already have seen different vada recipes. So this is another addition to it. You can try this recipe at home and drop a comment for me. Do not forget to like, share and subscribe.
Ingredients:
• 10~12 Green chilies
• 10~12 Garlic cloves
• 2 tsp Oil
• 1/4 tsp Hing
• Curry leaves
• 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
• Boiled and mashed Potatoes
• Salt to taste
• Finely chopped Coriander
• 1 cup Besan
• 1/4 cup Rice flour
• Salt to taste
• A pinch of Baking soda
• 1/2 tsp Red chili powder
• 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
• 1/2 cup Water
• Ladi pav
• Oil for frying
• Green chutney
• Sweet Tamarind chutney
• Finely chopped Onion
• Fine Shev
Method:
• Take green chilies, garlic in a blender jar and blend into a coarse paste. Thecha is ready.
• For making stuffing heat up pan in a pan and hing, curry leaves, thecha and fry well.
• Turn off the gas and add turmeric powder.
• Mix well and add potatoes, salt.
• Mix well and add coriander.
• Mix well and stuffing is ready.
• You can remove the curry leaves if you want.
• For making batter for making vada take besan, rice flour, salt, baking soda, red chili powder,
turmeric powder and mix everything well together.
• Add a little water at a time to make medium consistency batter.
• Add coriander and mix well.
• Take ladi pav and cut it into 2 parts. Do not cut all the way through.
• Fill the stuffing into it and close the bread up.
• Dip the pav into the batter and coat it well from all sides.
• Heat up oil in a pan and drop vada into hot oil.
• When vada is fried well from one side flip it over and fry well from other side too.
• When vada is fried well from both sides take it out drain excess oil and transfer into a dish.
• While serving give 2-3 cuts to vada and open it.
• Fill in green chutney, sweet tamarind chutney.
• Garnish with onion, coriander and shev. Sangam vada is all ready.
