Let’s see how to make Diwali special rava besan ladoo today. This is an authentic, traditional Marathi recipe. It is a very easy and simple recipe. Of course, you can make these ladoos on any other days too!! These ladoos turn out nice and soft. They just melt in mouth. It can be a good alternative to your regular rava ladoo or besan ladoo. Besides, we are making it in 1 kilo proportion!! Try this recipe at home and write to me. You also can like, share and subscribe.
Ingredients:
• 2 cups fine Rava
• 1/4 cup Ghee
• 8 green Cardamom
• 1 cup Besan
• 1/4 cup Ghee
• 2 cups Sugar
• 3/4 cup Water
• Chopped Almonds
• Sliced Pistachios
Method:
• Heat up a pan on medium heat and add rava and ghee.
• Roast rava really good until it gets light pink color.
• When rava is roasted well, take it out into a dish.
• In the same pan add besan and ghee and roast it well together.
• Turn the gas off and transfer the roasted rava into the pan.
• Mix everything well together.
• Heat up a pan on high heat and sugar and water.
• Mix well and let the sugar dissolve on high heat.
• When sugar dissolves and mixture begins to boil reduce the heat to medium and cook the syrup
for 5 minutes.
• Turn the gas off and check consistency.
• We need consistency between single and double thread consistency. The syrup should be a little
on thicker side.
• Let the syrup cool down for about 10 minutes.
• When the syrup is still warm, add the roasted mixture and mix well.
• Rest the mixture for about 10 minutes.
• Losen the mixture and add cardamom powder. Mix everything well together.
• Roll the ladoos and garnish with almonds and pistachios. Rava besan ladoos are ready.
• If the mixture is too dry then sprinkle hot water on it and roll ladoos.
• If the mixture is too soft or thin, then cook it for few more minutes.
• You can make 15 big ladoos from the proportions used. They weigh a little more than 1 kilo.
