Green leafy vegetables are richly nutritious and very healthy. Being bitter in taste, a very few people like methi. But when cooked properly, it loses its bitterness and tastes amazing. Methi can be used to prepare different dishes like methi paratha, methi thepla, methi mutter malai, aloo methi etc. Here we are preparing the sabzi adding moong dal. Here we go…
Ingredients –

• 1 bunch Methi
• 3 tsp Moong dal
• 1 tsp oil
• 1 tsp Cumin seeds
• 1 tbsp finely chopped Garlic
• 2 – 3 finely chopped Green chillies
• Salt to taste

Method –

• Pluck the methi leaves and wash 3 – 4 times well under
running water.
• Wash moong dal well and soak for 4 hours.
• Drain the water and keep it aside.
• Heat the pan on medium heat. Add oil.
• When oil is enough hot, add cumin seeds. Let it pop up.
• Add garlic. Fry until garlic turns reddish.
• Add green chillies. Fry it.
• Add soaked moong dal and methi leaves. Mix well.
• Cover with lid and for 7 – 8 minutes.
• Remove the lid and stir well. Add salt. Mix well.
• Cover and cook for another 7 – 8 minutes.
• Remove the lid and stir well. Turn off the heat.
• Methichi bhaji is ready to serve.
• It goes amazing with bhakari especially jwarichi bhakari. It
also goes well with chapatti.
