Today’s recipe is upwas special crunchy toast. Yes, you heard right. We are making farali toast. This is a very easy and simple recipe. Besides, this toast doesn’t need oven. You can make it in gas toaster or even on a skillet!! It turns out nice and crunchy. We are making it healthy by adding pumpkin!! This recipe doesn’t need lot many ingredients. You can easily make this toast with few ingredients those are readily available in your pantry. Try this recipe at home and drop a comment for me. You also can like, share and subscribe.
Ingredients:
• 1 cup Varai
• Chopped Green chilies
• Chopped Ginger
• 125 gm grated Pumpkin
• Salt to taste
• Water as needed
• 1 tsp Eno fruit salt
• 1~2 tsp Water
• Ghee
Method:
• Blend varai, green chili and ginger into powder in mixer.
• Mix pumpkin, the blended powder and salt well together in a bowl and add a little water at a time
to make thick batter.
• Cover and rest the batter for about 10 minutes.
• Add Eno fruit salt and water and mix in quickly.
• You can add 1/4 curd or 1/2 cup buttermilk and 1/4 tsp baking soda while making batter if you
don’t want to use Eno fruit salt.
• Grease grill sandwich maker well with ghee and add the batter into it.
• Spread the batter evenly and spread ghee on it.
• You can use electric toaster or small skillet or tadka pan in place of sandwich maker.
• Close the sandwich maker and roast it well for about 3-4 minutes from both sides.
• You can add stuffing cheese or panner or veggies of your choice in this toast.
• When the toast is roasted well from both sides, turn the gas off and take the toast out on a wire
rack. Upwsacha toast is ready.
