Let’s see how to make upwas special instant batata chivda today. With Mahashivratri round the corner, you must be looking for some upwas recipes. Here I am to help you out with such recipe. This is instant chivda. I also will share few tips and tricks to make perfect chivda starting from how to select batata to how to fry it. Isn’t it amazing? Besides, it doesn’t need lot many efforts or time!! It turns out and tastes just like farali chivda that we buy from any halwai. This chivda looks nice and tempting and tastes just awesome. We already have seen lot many different upwas recipes. This is yet another delicious addition to the list. Try this recipe at home and drop a comment for me. You also can like, share and subscribe.
Ingredients:
• 500 gm Indori Batate
• Oil for frying
• 1/2 cup / 100 gm Peanuts
• 1/4 cup / 45 gm Raisins
• 2 tbsp powdered Sugar
• 1 tsp rock Salt
• 1/4 tsp black Salt
Method:
• Wash potatoes really good and peel them.
• Wash the potatoes well again and grate into long shreds.
• Transfer the grated potato into water and wash it really good 4-5 times.
• Swirl a piece of alum in bowl full water for 10 times and soak the grated potato into alum water for
about 10 minutes.
• Drain all the water from soaked potato.
• Spread the batata kis on a clean cotton cloth and let it air dry for about 30 minutes.
• Heat up oil on high heat for 3 minutes in a pan and when the oil is hot enough, reduce the heat to
medium.
• Drop a little kis at a time into hot oil and fry it well.
• When the kis gets light golden color, take it out, drain excess oil and transfer it into a dish.
• In the same oil add peanuts and fry them well.
• When the peanuts are almost fried, add raisins and fry them well.
• When everything is fried well, take it out, drain excess oil and transfer it on the fried kis.
• In the same oil fry green chilies well until they turn nice and crunchy, take them out, drain excess
oil and transfer them into the chivda.
• Crush a few of fried chiles well and mix them with the chivda.
• Add powdered sugar, rock salt and black salt and mix everything well together. Batata chivda is
ready.
• Adding rock salt is optional. You can skip it if you don’t want.
• You can add cumin powder if you want.
