This mango milk cake turns out perfectly like the one that we get in the market. It looks nice and tastes just awesome. It gets that perfect color and texture and turns out nice and soft. You can try this recipe at home and drop a comment for me. Do not forget to like, share and subscribe.
Ingredients:
• 1 liter full cream Milk
• 2 ripe Mangoes
• 1/4 cup Sugar
• 2 tsp Ghee (Optional)
• Pistachios slices
Method:
• Heat up milk on medium heat and bring it to boil.
• Wash mangoes really good and cut off stem part.
• Make 4 slits to mango and peel it.
• Chop mango into pieces and blend it into puree.
• When milk begins to boil, continue boiling it for another 20-25 minutes on medium heat.
• The milk should reduce to almost half of original quantity.
• Add mango puree into the milk and mix in quickly.
• Continue boiling milk on medium to high heat for about 15 minutes. Stir the milk
continuously.
• When milk begins to thicken up add sugar and mix well.
• Cook the mixture until it thickens up really good and begins to leave the edges of the pan.
• When the mixture thicken up well add ghee and mix well.
• Do not overcook the mixture or the milk cake will be chewy.
• Adding ghee is optional. You can skip it if you don’t want.
• Ghee gives natural binding. You can cut the cake easily when it cools down.
• Cook for another 2 minutes after adding ghee and turn off the gas.
• Line up a tray with butter paper at the base and pour out the mixture into it.
• Spread it evenly and tap the tray really good.
• You can use any pot or cooker tin in place of the tray.
• Let the milk cake set at room temperature for about 5-6 hours.
• You can set it overnight too.
• Loosen the edges with the help of a knife and flip the tray over a dish.
• Garnish it with pistachios and mango milk cake is all ready. Cut it into pieces.
