We already have seen traditional recipe of undilkal. We are making a few changes in it to make spicy undilkal. This is basically made from rice flour and taste just awesome. This is easy, simple and delicious recipe. As we are not deep frying it, it can be healthy too. Do try this recipe at home and drop a comment for me. Do not forget to like, share and subscribe.
Ingredients:
• 1/2 cup + 1 tsp Water
• Salt to taste
• 1/2 cup Rice flour
• Finely grated Carrot
• Finely chopped Spinach
• Finely chopped Green chili
• Finely chopped Coriander leaves
• Oil
• 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
• 1/2 tap Cumin seeds
• Curry leaves
• Dry red chilies
• A little Red chili powder
Method:
• Heat up water in a pan and bring it to boil.
• Add salt, rice flour and mix quickly. No lumps of rice flour should
be formed.
• Turn off the gas.
• Add carrot, spinach, green chili, coriander leaves and mix
everything well together.
• You can add veggies of your choice.
• Cover and rest for just 5 minutes.
• Transfer the mixture into a dish and knead it a little.
• Make small balls from the mixture.
• Heat up oil in a pan.
• Drop the undilkal into hot oil and shallow fry a little. No need to
deep fry.
• When undilkal get nice golden color from all sides, take them
aside.
• In the remaining oil add mustard seeds and let it pop up.
• Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
• Add curry leaves, dry red chilies, red chili powder and mix
everything well together.
• Turn off the gas.
• You can add a little chat masala if you want.
• Spicy undilkal is all ready.
• Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves and serve.
