14th April is celebrated as Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s Jayanti or birth anniversary. As we all know, he was the sculpture of our Indian Constitution. He was very wise and learned man and has taught us many things. So today, as a tribute to his memory we are making few recipes those were his favorite. I got to know about these from the various books those I read. He was a very simple man. This is a very easy and simple recipe. So here is the name Ambedkar jayanti special recipes. One of his favorite recipe is Bombilachi chutney. His other favorite dishes were mugache varan, rice made from ambemohor rice, methichi bhaji, bajrichi bhakri, fish recipe, different egg recipes etc. Today I will show you his most favorite recipe bombilachi chutney. Ingredients:
Bombilachi Chutney
• Dry Bombil / Bombay duck fish
• 1 tsp Oil
• 7~8 Green chilies
• Garlic cloves
• 1 tsp Oil
• 1 tsp Cumin seeds
• Salt to taste
• Finely chopped Coriander leaves

Method:
• Remove the fins and cut the dry bombil into small pieces.
• Soak the dry bombil in enough water for about 10 minutes.
• Drain all the water from the soaked bombil and rest them in a sieve for another 8-10 minutes until
all the water is strained.
• Heat up oil in a pan and add green chilies, garlic cloves and soaked bombil.
• Fry everything well together for about 7-8 minutes until bombil becomes a little crunchy.
• Turn off the gas and let it cool down a little.
• Blend the mixture together into coarse paste in mixer.
• Heat up oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.
• When cumin seeds splutter add the blended mixture, salt and mix well.
• Fry the chutney well until it turns nice and crunchy.
• When the chutney begins to turn crunchy, add coriander leaves and fry together for another 4-5
minutes.
• Turn off the gas and bombilachi chutney is all ready.
• You can store it in an air tight container when it cools down completely.
• It has shelf life of about 2-3 weeks.
