Hiravya Mirachicha thecha is a Maharashtrian recipe. It is made from very few and basic ingredients and can be an excellent side dish. It specially goes well with any bhakari. Enjoy the thecha and leave a comment for me.
Ingredients:
• 1 tsp Oil
• 1/4 cup Peanuts
• 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
• 1/4 tsp Garlic
• 1 cup Green chilies
• Salt to taste
• 1 tsp Oil
Method:
• Heat up oil in a pan.
• Add peanuts and fry until they turn little reddish.
• Add cumin seed.
• Peel and chop the garlic. Add garlic and fry for about a minute.
• Take green chilies, wash them and remove the stalk.
• Chop and add the chilies.
• Fry for about 4-5 minutes.
• Turn off the gas.
• Take it out into a stone made mortar and pestle.
• Add salt and pound it into thecha.
• You can use mixer if you don’t have mortar and pestle.
• Heat up oil in a pan.
• Add thecha in hot oil.
• Fry for about a 3-4 minutes. Thecha is already.
• You can store the thecha in an airtight container and store it in
freeze.
• It lasts for about 2-3 weeks in freeze.
• Thecha goes well with jawar, bajra or rice bhakari.
Tips:
• Peanuts help in binding the thecha.
• Green chilies are of two types. The one those are dark green in
color which are too hot. Other are light green in color which are
not that hot.
• While using mortar and pestle put a napkin or thick cloth under it.
