Literal meaning of barud is gun powder. This chutney is made in tribal areas in Maharashtra by adivasis. As the ingredients required for this are available throughout the year it can be made whenever one feels like. It lasts longer and is very easy to make. It tastes just awesome. You can try this chutney recipe at home and drop a comment for me. Do not forget to like, share and subscribe.

Ingredients:
• Dry Red chilies
• 1 tbsp raw Peanuts
• Garlic cloves
• Cumin seeds
• Oil
• Lemon juice
• Salt to taste

Method:
• Take dry red chilies, peanuts, garlic, cumin seeds in a blender jar and blend into coarse
powder.
• Heat up a pan on medium heat.
• Add oil and the blended mixture.
• Fry really good until it dries. Add lemon juice, salt and fry for about a minute.
• Barud or dry red chili kharda is all ready.
• It goes well as side dish or goes well with dosa, amboli, ghavane.
• You can store it in an airtight container for about 2-3 months.
