Let’s make quick pavta batata rassa today. For that we are using fresh pavate and not the dry ones. This is a very easy and simple recipe. It is one of the favorite bhaji in our house. It not only looks tempting but also tastes super delicious. Pavta is lima beans and we are using fresh lima beans. This is a real quick recipe as we are making it in cooker. Lima beans are rich in proteins, fiber and other nutrients. Specially these are good source of iron!! Pavta batata rassa doesn’t need lot many ingredients. You can easily make it from very few ingredients those are readily available in your kitchen. We have already seen different rassa bhaji recipes. This is yet another delicious addition to the list.
Ingredients:
• 1 tbsp Oil
• Fresh Pavta seeds
• 1/4 cup Peanuts
• 1/4 cup grated dry Coconut
• 1 tsp Cumin seeds
• Coriander leaves
• 2 tbsp Oil
• 1 tsp Garlic paste
• 1 finely chopped Onion
• 1 tsp Sunday masala
• 1 tsp Red chili powder
• Salt to taste
• 1 peeled and chopped Potato
• Water as needed
Method:
• Heat up oil in a pan and add pavta seeds.
• Fry it well for about 3-4 minutes and take them out into a dish.
• In the same pan add peanuts and roast it well.
• When the peanuts are almost roasted, add dry coconut and cumin seeds and roast it well
together.
• Turn off the gas and let the mixture cool down.
• Transfer the mixture into a blender jar and add coriander leaves.
• Blend it well together and the vatan is ready.
• Heat up oil in a pan and add garlic paste.
• Fry it well and add onion.
• Fry well until onion gets nice golden color.
• Add the vatan and fry it well together.
• Add Sunday masala, red chili powder, salt and fry it well together.
• Add the pavta seeds, potato and mix everything well together.
• Add water and mix well.
• Close the lid and steam on medium heat for 10 minutes.
• You can cook on medium heat until 1 whistle. Pavat batata rassa is ready.
• It goes well with bhakari or chapati.
