Let’s make masala dudh for 10 people. With kojagiri Paurnima round the corner, you must be looking for masala dudh recipe. So, here I am to help you out with one of the easiest recipes. Masala dudh is a Kojagiri Paurnima special recipe. In Maharashtra Kartik Paurnima is celebrated as Kojagari paurnima. In the night masala dudh is offered as naivadya to the moon and people get together to have fun. It is said the Goddess Laxmi asks every house hold “को जागर्ति?” means “Who is awake?” She blesses all with all good wishes and lot of money. We already have seen different versions of masala dudh. This is yet another simple yet delicious addition to the list. It turns out nice, rich and creamy. The milk looks tempting and is really easy to make. Ingredients:
• 5 liter full fat Milk
• Saffron strands
• 50 gm Pista
• 50 gm Cashew nuts
• 50 gm Almonds
• 5 tsp Corn flour
• 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
• Water as needed
• 250 gm Sugar
• Cardamom powder
• 4~5 pinches Nutmeg powder
Method:
• Rinse wide and thick bottom pan with water and add milk.
• Heat up milk on medium heat and bring it to boil.
• Make sure to stir the milk at regular intervals.
• Add saffron and continue boiling the milk.
• Blend pista, cashew and almonds into coarse powder in mixer and keep it aside.
• You can soak almonds and pista in hot water and peel them before blending if you want.
• Mix corn flour and turmeric powder well together and add water to make slurry.
• You can use milk in place of water.
• When the milk reduces a little, add sugar, blended dry nuts and corn flour slurry and mix everything
well together.
• Simmer the milk on medium heat for another 10 minutes.
• Add cardamom powder and nutmeg powder and mix well. Masala dudh is ready.
• This is sufficient for 50 people.
