Let’s see how to make restaurant style nachos and cheesy dip. You can have it with different toppings or with only cheese dip!! Nachos are popular among children and adults as well. These can be a perfect option as snack or party starter. This is one of the good comfort foods that favorite to all. This is a very easy and simple that will be an instant hit for sure!! I will share a dip to go along with it. It is very easy to make and tastes delicious. It is nice, creamy and cheesy. Try this recipe at home and write to me. You also can like, share and subscribe.
Ingredients:
Nachos
• 1 cup Corn meal / Maka flour
• 1/4 cup Maida
• Black Pepper powder
• Pizza seasoning
• Salt to taste
• 1/2 cup Water
• A pinch of Baking soda (Optional)
• Oil for frying
Cheesy Dip
• 1/2 cup Milk
• 4 tbsp Butter
• 1/4 cup Cheddar cheese
• 1 tsp Maida
• A pinch of Turmeric powder
• A pinch of Salt (Optional)
Method:
Nachos
• Mix corn meal, maida, black pepper powder and mixed herbs well together in a bowl.
• Heat up water on medium heat in a pan and add salt and baking soda.
• Adding baking soda is optional. You can skip it if you don’t want.
• Mix well and bring it to boil.
• Turn the heat to low and add the flour mixture into it.
• Mix in quickly. No lumps of flour should be formed.
• Cover and steam the mixture in low heat for just about 5 minutes.
• Turn the gas off and transfer the dough into a bowl.
• Knead the dough well with the help of a pot and then knead well with hand.
• Grease a polythene sheet well with oil and place a dough ball on it.
• Pat it with hand first and cover it with another polythene sheet that is well greased with oil.
• Roll it into as thin chapati as possible with the help of rolling pin.
• Cut it into triangular nachos and prick each nachos with fork.
• Heat up oil on medium heat in a pan and when oil is hot enough, turn the heat to low.
• Drop nachos in hot oil and fry well on low heat until they get light reddish color and turn crunchy.
• When nachos are fried well from both sides, take them out, drain excess oil and transfer them into
a dish.
• Nachos are ready.
• Serv them with cheese dip.
• When nachos cool down completely, store them in an airtight container.
• They have shelf life of about a month.
Cheese Dip
• Heat up a pan on medium heat and butter.
• When butter melts, add maida and fry it well for about 3-4 minutes.
• Add milk and mix well. No lumps of maida should be formed.
• Cook it well together until the mixture thickens up really good and add mixed herbs, turmeric
powder. Mix well.
• You can use food color in place of turmeric powder.
• Add cheddar cheese and salt and mix well.
• You can use cheese slices or any processed cheese in place of cheddar cheese.
• Adding salt is optional. You can skip it if you don’t want.
• Cook it well together until cheese melts. Cheese dip is ready.
