Mango Pachadi INGREDIENTS
mango-1
1/4tsp turmeric
fenugreek powder-pinch, neem flower (optional one)
salt-pinch
1/2tsp mustard,urad dhal
jaggery-1/2cup
salt-pinch
gingelly oil-1tsp
chilly powder-1/4tsp
This pachadi will be prepared on new year
mango pachadi teaches life lesson
You can eat it as such or with curd rice,bread,
dosa,chapathi sidedish
This dish is combination of all 6 tastes like
sweet,spice,bitter,sour,astringent
similarly our life is also with combination of mixed
emotions like good,bad,happy,sorrow,victory,defeat
so we have to face all emotions equally in our life
astringent(mango,turmeric),bitter(neem
flower),pungent(redchilly),salt,sour(mango),sweet(jaggery)
This pachadi is very yummy yummy
mouth watering dish
take tangy mango.I took kilimooku mango(tatopuri)
i took 1 mango
peel the skin
cut into small pieces.Discard the seed
add 1 tsp gingelly oil
add 1/2tsp mustard,urad dhal
add mango
saute it for a while and then add 1/4tsp turmeric
add pinch of salt
add some water . Mango should be immersed
cook for 5mins till mango is soft .
i took 1/2cup jaggery in pan
add some water(less than 1/4cup)
add little water. Because pachadi will
become watery if you add more water
after 5 mins, mango is cooked soft
filter this jaggery syrup
add 1/4tsp chilly powder
cook till it becomes thick like jam
after 7mins, it is shiny and thick
In this stage , you can temper neemleaf
flower in oil and add that to this pachadi
or you can add some fenugreek powder( pinch of
it) if you like bitterness in this pachadi
this pachadi is very tasty which is a finger licking dish
all taste in one dish. Try this for chapathi,
curdrice, bread spread,or as it is(which i like)
