கீரை வடை/தண்ணி சட்னி/கார சட்னி/Keerai Vadai with 2 chutni combo

Hi friends,welcome to madhu samayal
Healthy spinach vada
along with 2 combo chutni recipes
1/2cup channa dal
1/2cup urad dal
1/4cup toor dal
wash and soak it for 3hours
drain all water and add in mixie
3greenchillies
1inch ginger
salt as needed
hing 1/2tsp
grind coarsely without
adding water
coarsely ground because
the vada will be crispy
transfer to bowl
i am going to use 2 spinach
types
dil leaves washed and chopped
discard thick stem
and chop thin stems
feel free to use any spinach type of your choice
and availability
dil leaves have nice aroma
this spinach type is available more
in karnataka region
1/2cup dil leaf
i took pasalai keerai (spinach variety)
you can choose any spinach variety
chop it
you can use combination of spinach
or one type spinach
total 2cups of chopped spinach
add 2onions chopped
Add 2cups of spinach to ground
Vadai batter
mix well
check salt
heat oil to deep fry
shape the vadai in cleaned banana leaf
grease fingers with water
it should not be thick or
thin
hole at center
deep fry the vadai
dont turn immedietly
cook both sides
thanni chutni
1/4cup coconut
1/4cup fried gram
Garlic 1
Small onion 2
2greenchillies
some curry leaf
Salt as needed
add water
this chutni will be watery
1 tbs oil
1/2tsp mustard
1/2tsp urad dal
1/2tsp zeera
hing 1/4tsp
curry leaf some
ground paste
add water
add water if it is thick
Off after one boil
this chutni is a good combo for vada
and idly
tomato kara chutni street style
for vada
2tsp oil
2garlic
4redchillies
some curry leaf
2tomatoes
salt as needed
some mint leaf
tomato mashed
let it cool and grind it
add little water and grind to fine paste
serve keerai vadai with 2 chutni
enjoy this for tea time snack
