Letís see how to make idli in microwave in 5 minutes.
Prepare the batter for the microwave.
The consistency of this batter should be same as the normal idli.
Add a pinch of salt, 1/4 teaspoon baking soda and mix.
Take a microwave safe idli container.
Spread oil on the plates. It will make the cooked idlis easier to remove.
Pour idli batter on each of these plates.
Add 1 cup water on the base.
Place the plates on top of each other and secure the lid.
Set the timer for 5 minutes on high power.
Let it sit for 5 minutes and open the container.
Idlis are reedy now.
If there is no microwave safe idli container, take normal microwave safe bowls. Spread oil on the base and pour the idli batter.
Set the timer for 5 minutes on high power.
Take them out with a spoon and put it in a serving plate.
Serve with favourite chutney or sambar.
