Ingredients
Rice Flour: 1 Cup
Bengal Gram Dal: 1/2 a Cup (Chenge Pappu)
Green Gram Dal: 1/2 a Cup (Pessar Pappu)
Curd: 1/2 a Cup
Water: as required
Onion: 1 finely chopped
Green Chilies: 2 to 3 finely chopped
Ginger: 1 Teaspoon finely chopped
Curry Leaves: finely chopped
Cumin Seeds: 1 Teaspoon
Coriander Leaves: 2 Tablespoons
Salt: to taste
Soda: a pinch
Turmeric Powder: 1/4 Teaspoon
Method of Preparation:
Instant and tasty Vada with Rice Flour at home with no prior preparations needed.
Add a Cup of Rice Flour to a mixie jar, add 1/2 a Cup of Bengal Gram and Green Gram Dal each.
Grind them all coarsely,add it to a mixing bowl.Add 1/2 a cup of Curd and some Water and mix well.
Mix well and let it rest for 10 to 30 minutes, after sometime we can see the batter has become thick.
Add required amount of water and mix.
Add a small Onion finely chopped, 2 to 3 Green Chilies and a Tsp of finely chopped Ginger pieces.
Add finely chopped Curry Leaves, a Tsp of Cumin Seeds and 2 Tsp of finely chopped Coriander Leaves.
Mix well and add Salt to taste, a pinch of Soda and 1/4 Tsp of Turmeric Powder.Mix them all together.
Adjust the taste, check the consistency so that it holds a shape.
Grease your hands with Water take some batter and roll them as a ball and pat them and mold as Vada, as in the video.
Heat Oil in pan, add them to the Oil and fry them on medium heat and flame. Fry until golden brown.
Ready, tasty and instant Vada relish it as a snack or breakfast.
