Ingredients:
100gm fresh bhindi (okra)
2 medium-sized tomatoes, diced
1/2 cup curd
1 teaspoon besan (gram flour)
1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
½ teaspoon cumin powder
1/4 teaspoon garam masala
1/4 teaspoon kauri methi
Salt to taste
2 tablespoons oil
Instructions:
Step 1: Preparing the Bhindi
Wash the bhindi thoroughly and pat them dry using a kitchen towel.
Trim off the ends and slice the bhindi into medium-sized pieces. Set aside.
Step 2: Sauteing the Bhindi
Heat oil in a pan or kadhai over medium heat.
Add the sliced bhindi and sauté for about 5 minutes until they turn slightly crispy.
Remove the sautéed bhindi from the pan and keep it aside.
Step 3: Preparing the Masala
In the same pan,
Add besan and saute for a mminute on low heat.
Add chilli powder and coriander powder, saute for 30 seconds on low heat
Add the chopped tomatoes and saute for a minute.
Add curd and cook for 5 minutes on low heat, stir continously
sprinkle garam masala, cumin powder, kasuri methi and salt to taste
Add bhindi, little water then cover it and coo for 5 minutes on medium heat
Tips:-
Gently add the sautéed bhindi to the masala and mix well, ensuring that the masala coats the bhindi evenly.
Cover the pan with a lid and let it cook on low heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove the lid and . Mix well.
Cook for an additional 2 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
Step 7: Serving
Transfer the delicious bhindi ki sabji to a serving bowl.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves for added freshness and flavor.
