*Heat 2 tbs oil in a pan
*Add 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds, 1/4 tsp asafoetida
*Add 2 cardamom, 2cloves, small piece cinnamon, 1 bay leaf
* Saute for 30 sec & add 1 finely chopped onion, mix and add 1 tbs ginger garlic paste
* Cover it & cook for 5 min
* Add 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, 1.5 tsp coriander powder, 1 TSP red chilli, 1/2 tsp amchur, 1 tsp Cumin powder, salt to taste
*Saute for 2 minutes
*Add 2 tomato puree, cover it & cook for another 5 min till oil separate
*Add 1 tsp garam masala, kasuri methi
*Now mix pressure cooked chana after separating water from the cooker.
*Mix it & cook for 2 min by covering
* Now use the water separated as require for gravy, or 3/4 cup.
*Cover it & cook for 3 min
*Garnish with chopped coriander leaves & add 1 tsp butter(optional)
* Yummy chana masala is ready
