Wheat Parotta (Lachha Paratha) – Recipe
Ingredients: Atta / Whole Wheat Flour – 2 cups
Salt
Sugar – 1 tsp
Yogurt – 1 Tbsp
Oil – 2 tsp
Water
Ghee
Method:
1. In a wide bowl(Buy https://goo.gl/9M32dl ), add Atta, salt, sugar, yogurt, oil & water at intervals to knead in to dough
2. Close with a lid (Buy https://goo.gl/HVptwr ) & let the dough sit for 5 minutes
3. Knead again for few minutes and close (Buy https://goo.gl/hVLc3i )and let sit another 5 minutes
4. Knead for the 3rd time and let it sit for 1 to 2 hours
5. Finally, knead one more time and make balls that fit in your palm from the dough
6. Flatten the ball as small as you can.
7. Dab ghee all over on the surface
8. Gently make slits for every 1/2 inch with a knif and fold like pleats.
9. Roll and keep aside for 10 to 15 minutes
10. Flatten them gently and not so thin
11. Toast in tawa (Buy https://goo.gl/GJODU2 ). Spread some ghee while toasting
