Vermicelli Biryani | Biryani Recipe

Ingredient –

Ghee – 2 Tbsp
Cinnamon
Bay Leaf
Cloves – 3 Nos
Cardamom – 2 Nos
Onion – 1 Finely Chopped
Green Chilli – 2 Finely Chopped
Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 Tsp
Tomatoes – 2 Finely Chopped
Carrot – 1 Finely Chopped
Beans – Finely Chopped
Potatoes – 1 Chopped
Green Peas – 1/4 Cup
Salt – 1 Tsp
Turmeric Powder – 1/4 Tsp
Red Chilli Powder – 1 Tsp
Coriander Powder – 1 Tsp
Biryani Masala Powder – 1 Tsp
Water – 3/4 Cup
Coriander Leaves
Mint Leaves
Roasted Vermicelli – 1 Cup
Salt – 1/4 Tsp
Ghee – 1 Tbsp

Method

Heat a kadai with some ghee, add the whole spices and roast them
Add onions, green chilies and saute
Add ginger garlic paste and saute along
Add tomatoes and saute for 5 mins
Add carrots, beans, potatoes and green peas and saute them
Add salt, turmeric powder, chili powder, coriander powder, biryani masala powder and mix well
Saute the vegetables for about 5 mins
Add water and close and cook till the vegetables are cooked
Add coriander leaves and mint leaves and mix well
Keep this aside
Heat a pot with enough water to cook the vermicelli
Let the water come to a boil
Add the vermicelli with salt and cook them till it is 90% done
Strain it and add the cooked vermicelli to the vegetable mixture and mix well and add ghee
Close and cook the vermicelli for 5 mins on medium flame
The Vermicelli Biryani is ready to be served.
Serve the Vermicelli Biryani hot, with some raita by the side
