Ingredients

Plantain – 3 Nos

To Make Vazhakkai Vada
Salt – 1/2 Tsp
Onion – 1 No. Finely Chopped
Chopped Curry Leaves
Green Chill – 2 Nos Finely Chopped
Ginger – 1 no. Finely Chopped
Cumin Seeds – 1/2 Tsp
Turmeric Powder – 1/4 Tsp
Chili Powder – 1 Tsp
Rice flour – 2 Tbsp
Oil

Method
Cut the plantain into smaller pieces and add them into a pressure cooker
Add enough water and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles
Let the plantain pieces cool down
Remove the skin and add them into a bowl
Mash them well
Add salt, onion, curry leaves, green chilies, ginger, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, red chili powder, rice flour
Mix everything well
Take a small amount of the mixture, and make small patties
Heat some oil for deep frying, add the vadas into the hot oil
Deep fry them till they are golden brown in color
Once they are golden brown in color, take them out and serve them hot with some coconut chutney.
